Gaille MacKinnon is a Lead Forensic Anthropologist and Archaeologist with Alecto Forensics. She has extensive experience in UK forensic investigations which have included cases of murder, suspicious death, disaster victim identification, missing persons, child disappearances, clandestine grave search and location, forced labour and servitude, terrorist bombings, and transportation accidents. Internationally, her expertise has been utilised on investigations of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide, disaster victim identification, terrorist bombings, cemetery exhumations, and natural disasters. She is currently the only dually certified forensic anthropologist (FA-1, RAI) and archaeologist (MCIfA) in the United Kingdom.
The post entails making BABAO aware of developments in the broader archaeological sector and helping to ensure that BABAO views are heard to maximum effect shaping those developments. The post-holder will be a member of a major professional organisation in archaeology or other relevant discipline, or owns their own business.
