Representative from a Commercial Organisation (3 years)
Sharon is a freelance Osteoarchaeologist (Archaeological Burials Company) providing human remains analysis for commercial archaeology since 2011. Prior to that she was a Human Osteologist for six years working for Oxford Archaeology reporting on some exciting assemblages, which included the late Roman cemetery at Lankhills, Winchester. Before that she worked for various archaeological companies across the UK as a field archaeologist and a short time as a freelance Osteologist. She completed her BA in History and Archaeology at the University of Leicester followed immediately by an MSc in Human Osteology and Funerary Archaeology at the University of Sheffield 2000-2001.
The representative from a commercial organisation ensures that members from the commercial sector have a dedicated contact person within the Managing Committee who will raise their concerns and comments on representing their views. The representative contacts commercial sector members prior to meetings of the Managing Committee to ask for comments and suggestions. The representative from a commercial organisation attends the three annual meetings of the Managing Committee and reports at the AGM during the Annual Meeting.
