Charlotte (Charlie) Primeau

Charlie is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of York at the Department of Archaeology working. She is working on the COMMIOS project investigating Iron Age populations through multidisciplinary research involving ancient DNA, funerary customs, isotope analysis and osteoarchaeology.
Charlie has a BSc in forensic anthropology, a MSc in human identification, a MSc in diagnostic radiography and a PhD in forensic medicine and anthropology. She has worked at the Institute of Forensic Medicine of Copenhagen as a biological anthropologist before coming to the UK. She is also a trained and licensed diagnostic radiographer having worked for the NHS. Charlie is also on the committee of the International Association of Forensic radiographers, and a team member with Kenyon for international disaster response. Her research interest within Biological Anthropology and Osteoarchaeology is skeletal growth and development of non-adults, paleoepidemiology, oncology and medical imaging.
The Annual Review Editor collates the news from the BABAO trustees and membership into an annual publication that is provided to all BABAO members. It also includes valuable information about upcoming conferences and grants and funding initiatives available to members.
