Rebecca has been Curator of Human Osteology at the Museum of London since 2008.

Rebecca gained a BA in Ancient History and Archaeology at the University of Birmingham (1997-2000), before going on to study at Durham University for an MSc in Palaeopathology (2000-1), then returning to Birmingham for her doctoral studies (2001-5). Her first job was as part of the team analysing the human remains from St Mary Spital for Museum of London Archaeology, followed by a year at The British Museum as Curator of Physical Anthropology. Rebecca was made a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries in 2010 and was an honorary research fellow at Durham University from 2015-18, and is currently a fellow at the University of Newcastle. Her work at the museum is varied and rewarding, including exhibitions, outreach and learning, as well as research. Rebecca is currently working on a new prehistory gallery, and her research combines the themes of population diversity, health inequalities and enslavement.
