Benefits of BABAO Membership
The benefits of becoming a BABAO member include:

BABAO Membership Fees
- BABAO membership runs from 1st January to 31st December
- Waged membership is £40.00 per year
- Student/unwaged/retired membership is £25.00 per year
- Membership for those residing in qualifying countries is £25 per year
BABAO will consider requests to pay unwaged membership fees from members taking significant time away from work in any 12 month membership period for parental (maternity/ paternity/adoption) or caring leave where this affects their ability to pay the waged fees. Please make requests via email to the membership secretary before your annual fees are due in January. Decisions will be made on a case by case basis.
Fill in the membership form and return to the membership secretary, either via e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or in hard copy to the address at the bottom of the page. The data you supply will be managed according to BABAO's data protection policy. Please see the Data Protection page for further details.

If you are a student, you must send proof of student status (with expiry date clearly visible) with your application form; we accept photocopies/scans of student cards, acceptance letters or similar, but please ensure the expiry date is visible. Please DO NOT send originals as we cannot return them.
Please pay your subscription on the 1st of January each year. Current members do not need to fill in a form when paying their fees, but should include their name and membership number with all payments. You can find your membership number on your registration documents or contact the membership secretary at email@example.com
Existing members who have not paid their subscription by the 31st of January will have their membership cancelled. If you want to reinstate your membership, then please contact the membership secretary (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Bank Transfer: Contact the membership secretary at email@example.com for our bank details in order to set up your own bank transfer. You can pay a single payment each time, or set up a regular payment.
Standing Order: Contact the membership secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org for our bank details in order to set up your standing order.
Cheque: We accept payment by cheque (in £ sterling only) made payable to BABAO, however we do NOT accept cash payments of any kind. If you wish to pay by cheque, please contact the membership secretary who can provide you with a postal address.
PayPal: To pay through PayPal please click here.
Please note that we are not able to process direct debits. This means that BABAO can neither set up payments for you nor alter the amount that you pay on your behalf. Please do not send us your bank details or ask us to change your payment.
Fees are due on 1st January each year. We do not routinely issue invoices or receipts for payments, but these can be arranged by contacting the membership secretary at email@example.com
Please note: if someone else pays fees on your behalf by ANY of the above methods they must state your name and membership number at the time of payment, or you must contact the membership secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org before a payment is made. Please remember if you have recently graduated or returned to studies you may be paying the wrong fees.

Current members can update their details by completing the form here. It is important that you keep your postal address up to date to ensure you receive the BABAO publications; we cannot send replacements if they were sent to an old address. Likewise, if your email address changes then please let us know as soon as possible so we can re-direct your mailing list emails and maintain contact with you. We would also like to hear about job and affiliation changes as this will help us understand our members’ needs.
Please also let us know if your circumstances change, e.g. if you have completed your studies, found or left a job, returned to studying, or have retired, as we need to ensure you are paying the correct fees. If you are changing your details to claim the student concessionary rate you must provide proof of student status. We accept photocopies/scans of student cards, acceptance letters or similar, provided the expiry date is clearly visible. Please DO NOT send originals as we cannot return them.

If you wish to end your BABAO subscription at any time, please e-mail the membership secretary at firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know. Please make sure to cancel any standing orders, regular bank transfers or PayPal subscriptions as we cannot do this for you.
