Huge congratulations to this year’s winners of the Holger Schutkowski Award for excellence in a master thesis!
This year, two outstanding theses scored together at the very top. They are:
- Annie Bones (University of York) “Examining childhood diet in Iron Age Orkney using compound specific isotope analysis”. Supervised by Dr Paola Ponce.
- Carlos Silva Carvalho (University of Bradford) “Worked to the Bone: An Investigation into Labour Division in a Transylvanian, Hungarian-Szekler Community (AD 1050-1800)”. Supervised by Dr Jo Buckberry.
Each winner will receive £50, a year’s BABAO membership, and the opportunity to present their research at the following year’s BABAO conference.
